CLE Priesthood

The Cleveland Vocations Office is the arm of the Diocese of Cleveland that walks men through discernment toward the priesthood. Briefcase Marketing rebuilt the office’s website from the ground up: new brand messaging, a custom WordPress site and a handmade events module built to fill their ministries.

The Challenge.

The office's previous website vendor stopped responding. A staff transition changed who managed the account, and the vendor never set up a support plan for the office's new point of contact. No training on the back end, no documentation to work from.

The site itself showed the strain: 24 pages built on WP Bakery, plugins piling up underneath, a homepage video that hadn't been touched in years. Site forms they couldn't safely update. One wrong move, and a page could disappear with no one left who knew how to bring it back.

Our Role.

We rebuilt the messaging and the site itself: new core language and key phrases for the office, full copywriting for the homepage and every page behind it, and a custom, mobile-friendly design built in Bricks Builder.

We also built-in a full English and Spanish toggle, as well as a custom events module. The events module allows people to cover the cost of credit card processing fees with the click of a button.

We stayed on after launch for hosting and maintenance, so Maggie has a number to call or text and someone answers it.

The Results.

The Vocations Director chose to time the public announcement to the feast of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests, on August 4.

After reviewing the site, the response back was simply: "Happy with it. It's fresh."

Now every message to the Cleveland Vocations Office gets a reply, usually the same day.
